I posted this to my personal blog, but I know there are many gamers in our group.  When I read this, I was reminded of John’s weekly previews/reviews of games.  What might John say about this game?

AUDIO ONLY VIDEO GAME: Is it still a video game?

I stumbled upon this Kickstarter Project in my reading.  Aaron Rasmussen and Michael T. Astolfi are creating a video game that has no graphics and you are required to only use sounds to play and navigate the game. It is set in a 3D world that you do not get to see.  Fascinating, right?

I am intrigued by experiencing a world that I can not see. It made me think about all that we “seeing” folks take for granted. Video games are not something that those who are visually impaired  do not have access to. This project could be used a tool to give the visual world insight into the world of the blind. 

I hope that this project gets the funding it needs to continue because I think it could be a valuable experience for all.
