Paper Cranes

Elizabeth shared a project sponsored by  Students Rebuild and Do Something! that created an opportunity for students around the world to help with rebuilding efforts in countries struck by natural disaster, Haiti and Japan. The 5th and 6th graders decided to contribute to the Paper Cranes for Japan project. The creation of a paper crane triggers a $2 donation from the Bezos Family Foundation to Architecture for Humanity’s reconstruction efforts in Japan. At the end of the drive, the cranes will be woven into an art installation as a symbolic gift to the people of Japan. 

The 7th and 8th graders did their part and folded 100 cranes today to add to the cranes made by the 5th and 6th graders.
